Immer habe ich Fotos als Stütze der Erinnerung betrachtet. Auf zahlreichen Reisen durch Europa und Asien und meine Begeisterung für fremde Länder und Kulturen, entstanden Momentaufnahmen des täglichen Lebens, Dokumentationen der dortigen Kultur, der Bauwerke, Gärten und Landschaften. Aber auch innerhalb Deutschlands haben mich historische Bauwerke, Gärten, Natur und interessante und optisch schöne Fotomotive begeistert.
Da ich mich für Kunstgeschichte, hier vor allem Architektur und die Natur interessiere, gibt es Fotografien vom Ganzen, aber auch sehr viele Aufnahmen von Details, bei der Natur zum Teil mit Macro aufgenommen.
Manchmal sehe ich Schönes im Banalen, was in meinen Augen nichts Anderes dokumentiert, als die Faszination der Welt im Großen wie im Kleinen.

I have always viewed photos as a reminder. On numerous trips through Europe and Asia and my enthusiasm for foreign countries and cultures, I created snapshots of daily life, documentation of the local culture, buildings, gardens and landscapes. But even within Germany, I was fascinated by historical buildings, gardens, nature and interesting and visually beautiful photo motifs.
Since I am interested in art history, especially architecture and nature, there are photographs of the whole thing, but also a lot of photos of details, some of which were taken with macro. Sometimes I see beauty in the banal, which in my eyes documents nothing other than the fascination of the world, both large and small.
